Our Same Day Access clinic holds weekday morning appointments for acute medical needs that cannot wait for a routine visit.
Morning clinic hours
Appointments fill up quickly. We recommend coming into the clinic or calling as soon as we open.

Minor injuries
Sprains and strains, minor cuts, and localized infections.
Acute illness
Sudden fever, a new cough or sore throat, or another symptom that started recently.
Reserved with your own physician
In addition to our Same Day Access clinic, each of our physicians has also set aside a number of same-day appointments that are reserved for their own patients, for more urgent matters that cannot wait for a regularly booked appointment.
If your concern is life-threatening, do not wait for a same-day appointment. Call 911 or go to the hospital emergency department.

What if this is an emergency?
If you have chest pain, severe bleeding, difficulty breathing, or signs of a stroke, call 911 or go to the Fort St. John Hospital emergency department. Do not wait for a same-day appointment.
Are appointments first-come, first-served?
Yes. There are an allotted number of walk-in appointments available each day, booked in order of patient arrival or calling in to the clinic.
